Major Responsibilities
Performs MFM level scans with consistent quality.
Knowledge of obstetric and gynecologic conditions within the context of sonographic findings.
Participates in the training and education of residents.
Utilizes research methods to support and advance ultrasound practice.
Seeks opportunities to further continue their own education.
Requirements
Must have active ARDMS certification in OBGYN
Bachelor’s degree is preferred with evidence of continuing education.
3 – 5 years clinical experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine preferred
Ability to perform complete gynecologic and obstetric scans with physician available for immediate review
Ability to assist physicians in performing procedures, including CVS, amniocentesis, and sonohysterogram
The Women’s Specialty Center is seeking a full-time ARMDS Ob/Gyn certified sonographer who has experience specifically in High Risk/ MFM unit. Our high volume AIUM accredited community hospital practice utilizes cutting edge technology to offer advanced prenatal diagnosis and gynecologic evaluations in addition to covering patients from an active labor floor and testing unit. Our sonographers work as a team with Maternal Fetal Medicine and Reproductive Genetic specialists and nurses. Sonographers are also engaged in teaching Ob/Gyn Residents and medical students.
