The role you’ll contribute:
The ICU PRN Registered Nurse is responsible for the coordination of patient care using a multidisciplinary approach to the Nursing process in accordance with the Hospital's Mission, physician and patient expectations. These duties will be performed in an acceptable manner according to the hospitals mission, vision, goals and management expectations.

QualificationsWhat You Will Need:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of Diploma in Nursing
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- BSN or MSN
- Previous healthcare experience
- Previous experience in designated department
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
The following statement applies to any AdventHealth Job Description that specifies under ‘Knowledge and Skills Required’ that a Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support(PALS) certification or proof of competency is required upon hire.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
- A new hire may begin employment provided the facility has the ability to facilitate the successful completion of the required AHA BLS program prior to any patient contact. This may be achieved using web-based training with voice-assisted manikin skills check off (ie: Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Program or Heartcode) or instructor-led training.
- Current Florida RN License
- BLS – condition of employment
CCU, ICU, PCU, CPCU & CIU:
- ACLS within 12 months of employment or transfer
- Basic EKG Class within 12 months of employment or transfer
- BSN or bachelor’s in healthcare related field
- Current Florida license or graduate nurse prepared to take State Board exam.
- Certified in Basic Life Support.
- ACLS at time of hire for ED, ICU, CVICU and PCU.
- NRP certification for Labor & Delivery and Nursery within 90 days.
- PALS certification for Pediatrics within 90 days
