McLeod Women’s Care Clarendon is seeking an experienced Nurse Midwife to join our community of dedicated providers!
This is a hospital employed opportunity with competitive salary, PTO time, CME allowance, health, and retirement benefits, and is a part of the AHEC Rural Incentive Grant Program, which offers loan forgiveness. The position has a Monday-Friday schedule with 8 call days per month.
McLeod Health Clarendon is a rural community hospital providing the only midwifery practice within a 60-mile radius. Our team currently consists of 3 midwives and 2 physicians who get along well and understand the importance of a healthy work/life balance.

Qualifications /Training:
1 to 3 years related work experience.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
Certified Nurse Midwife degree required.

Job Description:
Job Responsibilities include those listed in competencies document.
Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
Assess the needs of patients based on data collected by reviewing electronic medical records, and clinical support staff.
Records physical findings and formulates care plan.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and healthcare needs.
Provide hospital call coverage for OB.
Maintains professional clinical knowledge for licensure and completes required training according to deadline.
