Position Overview
At LVHN, you can make a difference. For nearly 100 years LVHN has operated independent residency programs in the Lehigh Valley area with a goal to provide the next generation with skills to be leaders, clinicians, and academicians. We offer an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program and recently established a new Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship. We are a regional clinical campus of the University of South Florida Health Morsani College of Medicine and an accredited member of the nation’s Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems. Whether you strive to educate other clinicians or focus your career elsewhere, there’s endless opportunity with LVHN.
- Certified Nurse Midwives in the network work closely with other providers to deliver a full scope of care in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Time spent at outpatient practice and nearby Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton campus
- Full scope midwifery. Outpatient: OB, uncomplicated GYN care including well-woman exams, STI screening and treatment, contraception including Nexplanon and IUDs.
- 12-hour inpatient shifts, 8-hour outpatient shifts. Rotating nights, weekends, holidays. In-house call components.
- Collaboratively benefits the health and wellness of the mom and baby.
In an obstetrics and gynecology career with LVHN, you will experience:
- Over 30 service sites for obstetrics and gynecology in 11 counties serving women’s preventive, gynecologic and obstetrics needs.
- Five Family Birth and Newborn Centers throughout the region provide maternity care.
- Additional locations provide gynecologic surgical care for women using traditional and advanced minimally invasive techniques.
- Multiple locations give physicians and APCs the option to choose the setting in which they practice.
- Intimate and familiar patient settings or busy bustling practices
- Community-based programs or academic tertiary referral hospitals
- Collaborate with a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurse midwives dedicated to providing exceptional care.
- Ability to teach and train students and residents at some locations.

Qualifications
- Current license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania
- Graduate from accredited educational Nurse Midwifery program
- CNM Experience of 2 years preferred
- L&D nursing experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive, caring, and professional
