We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic OB/GYN team at IU Health West in Avon, IN
Position Details:
Full-time, Days
Monday-Friday
No weekends, holidays, or call
100% outpatient
Procedures include: IUD insertions, birth control implant insertions, endometrial biopsies, vulvar biopsies, incision and drainage
Patient volume in office: 15-20/day
Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Conducting thorough assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans for OB/GYN patients
Testing and Diagnostics: Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to inform patient care decisions
Documentation: Accurately documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up care in electronic medical records
Education: Educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventative care.
Follow-up: Providing follow-up care to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
Collaboration: Working closely with physician and collaborators and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, coordinated care
Qualifications:
FNP or WHNP board certification required.
At least 3 years of clinical experience working in women's health / OBGYN required.
Ideal candidates will have experience in OB/GYN outpatient setting or family practice with gynecological experience.
New grads must have experience in labor and delivery preferred and experience in inserting IUD and implants
Must have strong clinical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
