As a Labor & Delivery Nurse at Beebe Healthcare, you will:

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit, ensuring patient safety and adherence to hospital policies.
• Facilitate, implement, and evaluate individualized Patient Plans of Care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and technical skills to effectively prioritize and manage patient care.
• Accurately document patient assessments at admission, transfer, and discharge, ensuring compliance with hospital standards.
• Assess and protect patient safety, following all hospital policies and procedures.
• Evaluate and report critical test results promptly and efficiently.
• Address the educational needs of patients, providing and documenting teaching as needed.
• Ensure proper transcription of orders and execute them with attention to detail.
• Collect and correctly label blood and urine specimens, ensuring timely delivery to the lab.
• Maintain open communication with the healthcare team to ensure a smooth, coordinated patient care experience.

• One year of acute care experience as an RN preferred.  Prior L&D experience highly preferred
• Must complete Point of Care Testing training, Neonatal rescusitation program (NRP) and Fetal monitoring as part of Department Orientation. 
• Baby friendly education within 6 months of hire.
• STABLE certificate preferred.
