Responsibilities
PEDIATRIX is seeking full-time neonatal nurse practitioners to join our team providing care for a Level-III NICU at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH and a Level 2 NICU at Atrium Medical Center.
Miami Valley Hospital is the regionâ™s well-established Level-IIIB neonatal intensive care unit. The highly respected community-based practice consists of 7 neonatologists and 12 NNPs. Miami Valley Hospital is the only facility in Dayton offering ECMO since 1986. As part of the Southwest Ohio practice, Miami Valley collaborates with Dayton Childrenâ™s Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to start with an established and cohesive group. Miami Valley Hospital serves a pediatric population of 1.4 million encompassing a 17 county referral area for perinatal cases.
Coverage of a 60-bed Level-IIIB NICU ⢠Average daily census is 42 patients
There are 4,800 deliveries annually and 950 NICU admissions annually ⢠Readily available subspecialty support ⢠Flexible schedule provides work/life balance
Affiliated with Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine with residents and medical students.
Responsibilities include coverage of the NICU with a Neonatologist in house as well as some well baby coverage..
Combination of 25 hour and 10 hour shifts at Miami Valley hospital.
Some 6 hour well baby shifts.
Atrium Medical Center has 18 hour shifts in house. This has some well babies and Level 2 SCN.

Current APRN national specialty certification
Minimum of a masterâ™s degree
