Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with expertise in treating perinatal and postpartum patients. In this telehealth role, you will provide comprehensive maternal mental health assessments, guide treatment plans, and collaborate with Canopie’s care team to ensure patients receive the best care possible, including recommending referrals when needed. You’ll play an essential role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care through virtual platforms.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in maternal mental health, and ideally a perinatal mental health certification (PMH-C). This is a part-time 1099 contract role, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position.

Responsibilities:
Conduct telehealth medical evaluations, manage and treat patients with maternal mental health concerns and develop personalized care plans.
Utilize evidence-based clinical models to guide care decisions and treatment plans.
Collaborate with Canopie's care team to deliver comprehensive patient care and leverage referral pathways.
Maintain thorough documentation and utilize virtual platforms, electronic health records, and other technology efficiently.
Educate and counsel patients on mental health and wellness, empowering them to take proactive steps in their treatment.
Stay up-to-date on maternal health best practices, applying evidence-based models of care to improve outcomes.
Efficiently document patient care using our virtual health record systems
Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted PMHNP license.
1+ year of clinical experience working with the perinatal population.
6+ months of telehealth experience, with proficiency in virtual patient care.
Experience with medical evaluations, medication management, and familiarity with diagnostic codes.
Empathetic and intuitive listener, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with technology including virtual platforms, EHRs, and Google Suite.
Strong desire to provide compassionate care for women and eager to learn new technologies.
