The Clinical Support Tech greets all patients and visitors entering the department. RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures that all patients have a prescription; if needed, contacts the schedulers or MD office to obtain it. Assists the nursing and technical staff with preparing patients for their procedure (ie: direct them to changing room, or restroom.) Assist patients with scheduling appointments with the Coordination of Care department. Handles scheduling issues with the Coordination of Care. Distributes patients' paperwork to appropriate area, notifying the area of the patient's arrival. Registers patients for scheduled procedure. Collects and documents any co-payments that may be due at time of service.
