The Clinical Nurse Coordinator is assigned to Women's Health. S/he is responsible for multiple aspects of gender-specific care in Women's Health to ensure that program needs are met and quality, timely care is provided to our Veterans. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator has administrative responsibility to the Specialty Primary Care Nurse Manager, and will be responsible for all aspects of breast and cervical screening including abnormal pap smears/mammograms, the Breast Care Registry, Non-VA maternity care and gynecology follow-up. Duties include but are not limited to: S/he will ensure that the program meets or exceeds all applicable breast/cervical care standards performance measures and access targets marketing efforts to Veterans and health care providers maternity and gynecologic care coordination and tracking of maternal and fetal outcomes in accordance with 1330.01 and 1330.03 (Maternity Care). Adheres to all current directives of VHA, and meets current Joint Commission standards, state licensure standards, and VA-OIG expectations.
