Performs the function of a Perinatal Technician II. The Perinatal Technician II will be required to scrub designated OB cases and take call. The Perinatal Technician II will function as part of the OB team by ï¿½pickingï¿½ OB cases and helping to maintain the integrity of the OB equipment and instruments. The Perinatal Technician II will demonstrate strict adherence to and a sound understanding of sterile technique. The Perinatal Technician II works under the supervision of the physician and the operating room/OB nurse/circulator and takes direction from these healthcare team members.
Performs the professional functions of an OB Tech in organizing, prioritizing and carrying out the duties of this position in a responsible manner. Coordinates, manages, provides and delegates work responsibilities.
Certified Nursing Assistant
Successful completion of required .edu courses including Aseptic Technique and Sterile Supply Processing
Advanced Certified Nursing Assistant
Two years recent acute care experience.
Previous OR scrubbing experience (CORT)
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
(1) AHA-BLS-HCP. (2) Current CNA certification
