In this key role, the Histology Assistant will assist Pathologist with autopsy procedures including set up, opening body cavities, closing body cavities and clean up. Communicate with technical staff and various other departments to assist in other duties such as inventory, stocking, equipment maintenance and clerical duties. Responsibilities will include using equipment such as; bone saw, scalpel, and wearing full body personal protective equipment.
Position Requirements: High School diploma, or equivalent. Classes in biology and related sciences preferred. Ability to work independently with attention to detail on all assignments.
Scheduling: Flexible schedule, as needed. Weekday, weekend and holiday flexibility required.
