SCF’s Nutaqsiivik Program is a community health program providing home visits to women and their families enrolled in the Nurse Family Partnership Program. SCF is currently hiring full time nurses with experience in mother/baby care or pediatrics to work in the program. Nurses will be responsible for carrying a caseload of up to 25 families; provide education and support to them, utilize nursing processes and use clinical expertise to build therapeutic relationships, set mutual goals to assist mothers in developing healthy plans for their families, deliver safe quality care, and follow all policy and procedures in accordance with the program guidelines.
This position qualification requires a bachelors prepared RN with a current nurse’s license in the State of Alaska or ability to obtain a current license within thirty (30) days of date of hire, current basic life support (BLS), a clean driving record. Daily Duties and Expectations:
8-hour shifts M-F, with option to switch to 4 10-hour shifts after initial training is completed
Hands on customer care in the customer’s home or choice of meeting place
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree or higher level educational program in Health and Human Services.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska-or- able to obtain prior to hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.
Three (3) years maternal-child health nursing experience; OR equivalent experience.
Must meet conditions to qualify as an approved SCF driver.
