The Director, Mother Baby Center will provide strategic, financial, and operational leadership to one of Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s leading service lines. The Director will partner with designated physician leaders to advance business and clinical initiatives to achieve optimal financial performance, physician and patient satisfaction, quality and safety measures, and operational efficiency to ensure the Mother Baby Center provides a best-in-class experience for its diverse patient population. By serving on a Steering Council for the Mother Baby service line, the Director will contribute to advancing quality and service excellence across the Allina Health enterprise. Direct areas of responsibility include Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, OR and Antepartum. As Allina Health and Children’s Minnesota have a partnership, the neonatal intensive care is provided by pediatric experts from Children’s Minnesota. The Mother Baby Center Director will work with his/her counterpart at Children’s Minnesota to support the regionally recognized integrated Mother Baby service line.
The Mother Baby Center at Allina Health is a partnership between Allina Health and Children’s Minnesota. The Mother Baby Center at Abbott Northwestern Hospital offers labor and delivery care for routine and high-risk pregnancies; home health services; integrative services; newborn care; and pain management services with non-medicinal options. Neonatal intensive care is provided by pediatric experts from Children’s Minnesota. Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s Mother Baby Center has the highest number of deliveries within the tristate area with over 5,000 deliveries per year.
Ideal candidates will have progressive management experience with responsibility for optional, financial and clinical oversight of a high volume acute care setting, preferably in Mother/Baby, Labor Delivery and/or Post-Partum. A bachelor’s degree in nursing is required, and a master’s degree is preferred.
